Running a monk with a scythe
Anyone have a great M/D build for PVE?
Currently I am running 2 dmg skills in Scythe Mastery and Smiting [skill]judge's insight[/skill] [skill]strength of honor[/skill] balance in keep your butt alive in Earth Prayers

it would probably be a better idea to just leave the scything to dervs or melee based characters.

lmao...
I just advise you not to take any "victorious" skill, foes will generally have more health than you.

The concept is bad. D/Mo would be more reasonable but even at that it is still a weak idea.
You could probably farm with a 105hp monk with a Scythe and some Smiting skills but there will almost always be a better (quicker and more productive) alternative.

why would you want to run this?
when you can just run it on a dervish who can do it much better?
if you realize that the build will suck and you only want to have fun.. then its okay. but if you think this will be more advantageous over a real dervish don't do it.
because it wont be. (:

A monk with a sword or daggers > a monk with a scythe. Since SoH is +damage per attack, you'd want a faster attacking weapon to get the most out of it. And monks with daggers are horribad, so that makes a monk with a scythe...horriterribaed!

It would be better to run a D/Mo the Mo/D that is farming build and if you do run a D/Mo post it in the Derv forum.

Nope I am a crazy monk/dervish running an idiotic build currently working on my survivor title.
(Keep in mind I am very selective on the area I use this build.) Enchantment rippers is a no no
It is nice to see 100 plus dmg with the scythe.

A monk with a scythe is pretty fail. A monk with a scythe, VoS and attack skills is even more fail. Seriously.
Also: Dervishes do 100 plus damage with scythes pretty regularly, without any of those skills.

I guess if you want to screw around in RAs and PvE with Heros and Henches go ahead and make one.
Though I think people you group with (if you decide to group with anyone) might not appreciate a Scythe Wielding monk.
